Our Culla pilot jacket is the perfect garment for the decisive and adventurous women of today. It is based on the leather jackets that the WASP (Women’s Air Pilots Service) warriors wore in World War II. Tāctica 1-11 ® has recovered the design and reproduced it with the highest quality lambskin and removable neck for it to be a garment to be worn all year round. A timeless nostalgic fashion for a proud and confident woman.
During the Second World War the Women’s Air Pilots Service was in charge of many support and logistic flights within the US territory, taking airplanes from airplane factories to ports and military training bases from where the fighter pilots would take the devices to war.
This jacket honors these pioneers and is based on the model they wore, but with a more modern design and a more fitted fit that enhances the female figure. In addition, the removable neck makes it also a perfect garment to be worn all year long.
The highlights of this jacket are:
- 100% Lamb skin leather 0.95 mm thick, but still very soft and flexible
- Sheepskin collar (sheep hair) removable (to be worn all year long)
- Side entry pockets
- Front pockets with button and flap
- Interior pockets
- Rubber and knit cuffs and waist
- Tāctica 1-11 ® logo on the flap
- Fitted and adjusted design
- Dark brown color
Feel the adventurous spirit of the female aviators of the time with our Culla leather jacket.
